Alexis' Vision on Citron Macaron and his Collaboration with C. Maurice

“This fragrance is intended to be an evocation of the holiday memories that bring back so many smells. Under the late afternoon sun, we walked through the scrubland which exuded scents with slightly acidic notes of lemon, lavender, rosemary, myrtle, caliconome, mint, nepeta, sometimes the heady smell of a foot of immortelles, in search of the cliff from which we could jump into the cool water of the river. The freshness of the waterhole in this setting that is both mineral and vegetal was welcome. We bathed there without respite, alternating jumps from a height of five or six meters and games in the water. It is this freshness with notes of grapefruit and lemon that reminds me of this perfume.

Later, on a trip to the Maldives, the crystal clear water brought back those childhood memories. The deserted beaches, the white sand evoke idleness and the sweetness of more gourmet smells such as tonka bean and sandalwood… »

“Working with C. Maurice was an enriching experience. His know-how and sensitivity were essential in refining Citron Macaron. This collaboration has made it possible to create a fragrance that reflects the duality of my inspirations: the fresh flavors of Mediterranean citrus combined with the sweetness of sandalwood and tonka bean. I am proud of this fragrance which, I hope, will transport everyone to the landscapes that have inspired me so much. »

Lemon Macaron has a strong connection to Corsica, where Alexis is from, and many trips there have inspired perfume, the land of his grandfather. All the protagonists of the brand have Mediterranean origins: the founder of the brand, the marketing director, the nose, the designer… The Princes of the Gulf is the reflection of these cross-influences, mixing the olfactory riches of the Mediterranean and the Orient.
